Washington Sundar

Washington Sundar’s role in TNPL 2024 is pivotal, especially with Ravindra Jadeja no longer in the Indian T20I squad. Sundar is on the selectors’ radar, and the TNPL provides a crucial platform for him to cement his place in the national team. Despite his commitments with the Indian team on the tour of Zimbabwe, Sundar is expected to play a significant part for the Siechem Madurai Panthers once available.

R Sai Kishore has had an impressive run leading up to TNPL 2024. As the captain who led Tamil Nadu to the Ranji Trophy semifinals and the highest wicket-taker of the tournament, Kishore is in excellent form. 

Kishore’s batting has significantly improved, highlighted by his 122 runs in five innings during the last TNPL season, which included a fifty and a striking rate of 167.12. Kishore’s bowling skills are well-established, as evidenced by his seven wickets in six matches last season at an economy rate of 6.83. 

Shahrukh Khan

Throughout TNPL 2023, Shahrukh Khan showcased his bowling skills by taking 17 wickets at an economy rate of 6.66, securing his position as the top wicket-taker. His off-spin has added immense value to the defending champions, Lyca Kovai Kings, whom he also captains.

Though he had a relatively quiet TNPL 2023 with the bat, scoring 133 runs in seven innings, his strike rate of 190 underscores his capability for destructive batting. After a modest domestic season and a decent IPL stint with Gujarat Titans (GT), Shahrukh is keen to use TNPL 2024 as a platform to regain top form and lead his team from the front.

Sonu Yadav

The 24-year-old Sonu Yadav is eager to make a mark following an eventful 2023 TNPL season. Scoring 115 runs in seven innings at a strike rate of 123.65, he also made an impact with the ball by claiming 11 wickets with an economy rate of 8.27.

Yadav’s all-round abilities make him a valuable asset. His pace bowling and lower-order batting can provide crucial depth and balance to his team. His TNPL achievements could be instrumental in his IPL comeback.

Swapnil Singh

Swapnil Singh, one of the unsung heroes of RCB’s remarkable turnaround in the 2024 IPL, made his mark with left-arm spin and the ability to maintain control with the new ball. Though his batting wasn’t extensively needed for RCB, his capability with the bat adds to his value as an all-rounder.

Singh’s performance in the TNPL 2023 featured 150 runs for the Siechem Madurai Panthers, with an average of 25 and a strike rate of 131.57. His bowling display in eight matches featured an economy rate of 6.79 and five wickets.
