SA20 Points System and Play-offs
The standings in the 2024-25 season of the SA20 are determined by an extremely simple points system. Teams will receive 4 points for a win and 2 points for a no-result. There is also another additional 1 point bonus if the net run rate for the winning side is 1.25 or more ahead of the opponent’s.
Next will be the playoff stage of the league, comprising Qualifier 1, the Eliminator, Qualifier 2, and the Grand Final. The top two teams will contest Qualifier 1, where the winner proceeds directly into the final. The loser of Qualifier 1 stands a second chance, against the winner of the Eliminator, which will be played between the 3rd and 4th placed teams, in Qualifier 2. The winner of that encounter would then engage the winner of Qualifier 1 in the Final, scheduled for Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg on 8 February 2025.
