Hansie Cronje Match-Fixing Scandal (1969-2002)

Hansie Cronje, former captain of the South African cricket team, was involved in a match-fixing scandal in 2000. He turned heads with his performances for the Proteas with both bat and ball during the 1990s, from 1992 to 2000. It was found that Cronje discussed match fixing with an Indian bookmaker. As a result, he was later given a lifetime ban from playing cricket.
