London Spirit had a very poor start in the ongoing Women’s Hundred tournament. The first two games of theirs were called off due to rain while the Heather Knight-led side suffered a five-wicket defeat in the last match against Northern Superchargers. Thus, they are currently in a very tight spot and will have to perform extremely well in the remaining matches to qualify for the playoffs.
Trent Rockets, on the other hand, have just one point to their name after three games. They lost their opening game against Southern Braves while the second match against Birmingham Pheonix was called off due to rain. In the third match, the Nat Sciver-Brunt-led side suffered a nine-run defeat at the hands of Nothern Superchargers. However, Bryony Smith’s form will give them a lot of confidence as the goal will be to win the remaining matches of the league.
