Khulna Tigers (KHT) will face Chittagong Kings (CHK) in match No. 3 of the ongoing BPL (Bangladesh Premier League) 2024-25 at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka on Tuesday, December 31.
Khulna Tigers let go of their last season’s captain Anamul Haque Bijoy after failing to reach the playoffs. They will now be led by Mehidy Hasan Miraz, who has the experience of leading Bangladesh in the ODIs and Tests against the West Indies. The Tigers finished fifth last season. They won their first four matches but lost seven out of their last eight to crash out of the tournament.
Meanwhile, Chittagong Kings are making a comeback to the Bangladesh Premier League after 11 years. They are going to be mentored by the legendary Shahid Afridi, who has also been appointed as the franchise’s brand ambassador. Shaun Tait, who played for the Kings in 2013, has been named as the head coach. Mohammad Mithun will lead this side.
