The middle order showed some resilience, with Mikayla Hinkley top-scoring with 32 off 37 balls, but she was dismissed by Matthews. Chloe Piparo (5) and Chloe Ainsworth (14) both fell cheaply, while Alana King provided some late fireworks with 23 runs from just 15 balls, including 3 fours, before being dismissed by Capsey. The Renegades were bowled out for 106 in 20 overs, falling 2 runs short of their target.

For Perth Scorchers, Alana King and Chloe Ainsworth were the pick of the bowlers, taking 3 wickets each for 23 and 18 runs, respectively. Sophie Devine also chipped in with 2 wickets, while Amy Edgar and Ebony Hoskin kept the pressure on, restricting the Renegades’ chase with disciplined bowling.
