Chasing 210, Delhi Capitals had a horror start, losing three wickets inside the first two overs. Jake Fraser-McGurk and Abishek Porel fell for one and zero respectively, while Sameer Rizvi managed just four. Shardul Thakur and Manimaran Siddharth ensured LSG dominated the early exchanges, reducing DC to 7/3.

Faf du Plessis and Axar Patel counter-attacked to stabilize the innings. The DC skipper played an aggressive 22 off 11 balls, while du Plessis added 29 off 18 before falling to Ravi Bishnoi. At 65/5, DC were staring at defeat. However, Tristan Stubbs (34 off 22) and Ashutosh Sharma engineered a crucial middle-order fightback. His fearless stroke play kept DC in the hunt despite the required run rate climbing. Vipraj Nigam’s rapid 39 off 15 deliveries further tilted the balance in DC’s favor.

LSG struck back late in the innings, dismissing Nigam, Mitchell Starc, and Kuldeep Yadav in quick succession. With DC needing 18 off the last two overs and just one wicket in hand, Ashutosh Sharma kept his nerve. He struck crucial boundaries off Ravi Bishnoi and Prince Yadav before calmly sealing the win in the final over.
