The left-handed wicketkeeper-batsman remained unbeaten on 106 off 47 balls, hitting 11 fours and six sixes at a staggering strike rate of 225.53. Nitish Kumar Reddy provided valuable support with a quickfire 30 off 15 balls, while Heinrich Klaasen’s explosive 34 off 14 deliveries further bolstered SRH’s total. The late contributions from Aniket Verma and Pat Cummins ensured SRH finished with an imposing 286/6.

RR bowlers struggled against SRH’s relentless attack. Jofra Archer had an expensive outing, conceding 76 runs in his four overs without taking a wicket. Maheesh Theekshana was the most effective bowler for RR, picking up two wickets for 52 runs, while Tushar Deshpande also claimed three wickets but was expensive, giving away 44 runs. Sandeep Sharma managed to pick up one wicket, but the collective bowling effort failed to contain SRH’s explosive batting lineup.

Chasing a mammoth target of 287, RR got off to a shaky start as Yashasvi Jaiswal fell early for just 1 run. Captain Riyan Parag followed soon after, managing only 4 runs. Nitish Rana’s brief stay at the crease ended at 11, leaving RR struggling at 50/3 in 4.1 overs. However, Sanju Samson and Dhruv Jurel revived RR’s hopes with a sensational partnership. Samson played a captain’s knock, scoring 66 off 37 balls, while Jurel was the standout performer with a stunning 70 off 35 balls, including five fours and six sixes.

Shimron Hetmyer added firepower in the middle order, smashing 42 off 23 balls, but his dismissal in the final over ended RR’s last hopes of pulling off a miraculous chase. Shubham Dubey played a late cameo, scoring an unbeaten 34 off just 11 balls, but the required run rate had spiraled beyond reach. RR finished their innings at 242/6, falling 44 runs short of the target.

SRH’s bowlers held their nerve despite the onslaught. Simarjeet Singh was the pick of the bowlers, claiming 2 wickets for 46 runs. Harshal Patel also impressed with figures of 2/34 in his four-over spell. Mohammed Shami and Adam Zampa chipped in with a wicket each, ensuring that SRH successfully defended their massive total.
