The real fireworks came from Abu Hider, whose unbeaten 21 off just 8 balls, featuring three sixes, propelled the Tigers to a competitive total. DKA bowling was a mixed bag. Mustafizur Rahman stood out with economical figures of 1/19 from his four overs. Alauddin Babu also impressed, conceding only 15 runs in his three overs while picking up a wicket. However, Abu Jayed and Chaturanga de Silva were expensive, leaking runs at crucial moments despite picking up wickets.

In reply, the Dhaka Capitals got off to a shaky start. Litton Das and Stephen Eskinazi departed early to Mehidy Hasan Miraz, who bowled a remarkable spell, taking 3/6 in his four overs. Tanzid Hasan showed promise with 19 off 15 balls but couldn’t capitalize. By the 10th over, Dhaka was reeling at 41/6, thanks to incisive bowling from Miraz and Abu Hider, who took two wickets despite being expensive.

Amid the collapse, Thisara Perera played one of the most memorable knocks of the tournament. The captain single-handedly kept Dhaka in the game with an unbeaten 103 off 60 balls, including 9 fours and 7 sixes. 

Perera’s calculated aggression and clean hitting gave Dhaka a glimmer of hope, but he received no support from the other end. Chaturanga de Silva’s unbeaten 11 off 20 balls was too slow to make an impact.

KT bowlers held their nerve despite Perera’s heroics. Ziaur Rahman and Abu Hider picked up crucial wickets, and Nasum Ahmed bowled economically. The Tigers eventually restricted Dhaka Capitals to 153/6, sealing a convincing 20-run victory in an enthralling contest.
