Stephen Eskinazi, however, brought some stability to the innings with an aggressive 46 off 29 balls, smashing six boundaries and two sixes. He formed a crucial partnership with Shahadat Hossain, who top-scored with a well-paced 50 off 41 deliveries. Shahadat’s knock, which included seven boundaries, anchored the innings and kept the scoreboard ticking.

The middle and lower order provided some fireworks, particularly from captain Thisara Perera, who hammered 21 off just 9 balls at an astonishing strike rate of 233.33. Shubham Ranjane also chipped in with a quickfire 24 off 13 balls. 

However, Taskin Ahmed continued to wreak havoc, finishing with career-best figures of 7/19 in his four overs. His brilliance with the ball ensured that Dhaka Capital could not build on their momentum in the final overs and fell short of the 180-mark.

In reply, RAJ started their chase with a mixed performance. Mohammad Haris showcased a glimpse of his explosiveness with 12 off 5 balls but fell early to Mustafizur Rahman. Jishan Alam struggled and was dismissed for a duck, leaving Rajshahi at a precarious 13/2 in the first over. 

However, Captain Anamul Haque led from the front with a scintillating unbeaten 73 off 46 balls. His innings was a masterclass in chasing under pressure, featuring nine boundaries and three towering sixes.

Anamul was well-supported by Ryan Burl, who played a match-winning knock of 55 not out off 33 deliveries. Burl’s powerful hitting, which included five boundaries and three sixes, complemented Anamul’s measured approach. The duo stitched an unbeaten partnership that ensured Rajshahi reached the target with ease.

DKA bowlers, despite early breakthroughs, struggled to contain Rajshahi’s batters in the middle overs. Mustafizur, Mukidul Islam, and Alauddin Babu picked up a wicket each but were expensive. Taskin Ahmed’s exceptional bowling performance stood out in an otherwise disappointing day for the Dhaka team.

This thrilling contest highlighted Taskin Ahmed’s brilliance with the ball and the sheer dominance of Anamul Haque and Ryan Burl with the bat, as Durbar Rajshahi sealed a memorable victory in the BPL 2025.
