RR bowling unit had a tough day. Tushar Deshpande was expensive but managed to take two wickets. Theekshana also picked up two, though he conceded 54 runs in his four overs. Jofra Archer and Sandeep Sharma took a wicket each but couldn’t stem the flow of runs.

In reply, Rajasthan Royals were never quite in the chase. They lost Yashasvi Jaiswal early for 6, and Nitish Rana followed shortly after for just 1. Sanju Samson tried to stabilize the innings with an aggressive 41 off 28 balls, but once he fell to Prasidh Krishna, the Royals began to unravel.

Shimron Hetmyer battled well with a solid 52 off 32 balls, including 4 fours and 3 sixes, but he did not have anyone to support him at the other end. Riyan Parag was looking settled with 26 off 14, before he was caught off the bowling of Kulwant Khejroliya when it looked like he might kickstart a late-order partnership.

Prasidh Krishna was the pick of the bowlers for Gujarat Titans, taking 3 for 24 in his four overs. Rashid Khan once again showed his class, bagging 2 wickets, and Sai Kishore also impressed with a tidy spell, claiming 2 for 20. The bowling unit kept the pressure on consistently, dismissing RR for 159 in 19.2 overs.
