‘You WALKED?!!’ – Jemimah Rodrigues pulls Smriti Mandhana’s leg over vacation post

Star India batter Smriti Mandhana recently shared pictures from her time away from game as she is enjoying a vacation with her brother Shravan. She revealed how memorable her journey has been, adding that she will never forget it. As she shared pictures from her trek, Mandhana’s national teammate, Jemimah Rodrigues, took to the comments to pull her leg. 

“What a trip this has been From endless walking to meeting some amazing people. Its has been a memorable one,” Mandhana captioned the post. Seeing that, Jemimah commented, “Wait did you just say you WALKED?!!”.

Mandhana set to feature in WBBL

With the new season of the WBBL (Women’s Big Bash League) set to arrive, the drafts have seen many Indian women’s cricketers in big demand. Smriti Mandhana, Deepti Sharma, and Jemimah Rodrigues have been all been picked while Deepti Sharma, who was exceptional in The Hundred, was roped in by Melbourne Stars in the WBBL.

On the other hand, Rodrigues has been picked up by the Brisbane Heat while Mandhana was Adelaide Strikers’ pre-draft signing. Pacer Shikha Pandey was also picked by the Strikers in the second round.

Furthermore, the likes of Harmanpreet Kaur, Shreyanka Patil, and Radha Yadav were among the 13 players who were not picked in the drafts. Yastika Bhatia will also be making her WBBL debut after she was picked up by Melbourne Stars.

The WBBL is set to begin on October 27 in Adelaide with a match between Adelaide Strikers and Brisbane Heat.
