When it comes to transforming Cricket in India, the 1983 World Cup always comes up as the first thing in cricket aficionados’ minds as it paved the way and the self-belief that the nation can win from any situation if the players representing do not give up. But this legacy was started by none other than the legendary former India skipper and world champion, Kapil Dev. Moreover, who can forget his legendary knock of 175 that brought a new revolution to the country against the odds?

While the Indian fans love talking about his famed innings but the man himself refrains from discussing about it out of sheer humbleness. Interestingly enough, during a recent interview, Kapil Dev discussed about various issues related to Indian cricket. He was asked about why India have not been able to find a top-class bowling all-rounder who can also lead from the front. To this, he responded by saying that nobody really looks for a specific kind of player. To him what seems more important is how a player is groomed and treated properly in the long run.
