Delhi Capitals are hosting Mumbai Indians in match 43 of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) on Saturday, April 27 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. At the toss, Delhi captain Rishabh Pant said that young Jharkhand wicketkeeper-batter Kumar Kushagra will be playing in the high-octane clash in place of Prithvi Shaw. The 24-year-old Shaw has scored 185 runs from seven games at an average of 26.43 and a strike rate of 162.28.
It seems that the Delhi management wasn’t impressed with the right-handed batter’s exploits in IPL 2024 and that is why they have brought in the 19-year-old Kushagra as his replacement. Also, the out-form-form Anrich Nortje has been replaced by compatriot Lizaad Williams.

Meanwhile, Mumbai captain Hardik Pandya said at the toss that the in-form Gerald Coetzee is suffering from a stomach bug and that is why he has been replaced by left-arm pacer Luke Wood in the playing XI. Wood played the first game of the season for Mumbai and bowled two overs for 25 runs without picking up a wicket. He will hope to fare better in his second outing with the five-time champions.
