Rajasthan Royals (RR) are about to take on Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in Match 19 of the Indian Premier League 2024 (IPL 2024) at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur. Rajasthan skipper Sanju Samson won the toss and elected to bowl first. Having won just one out of their first four matches, RCB decided to make a change in their playing combination and brought in batter Saurav Chauhan in place of Anuj Rawat.

The 24-year-old has played all four matches of the season so far and got his season off to a great start scoring 48 off 25 balls against Chennai Super Kings. However, he failed to continue his form and registered scores of 11 (14), 3 (3) and 11 (21) in his next three innings. Hence, the management decided to bench him and brought in Chauhan in his place.

The left-handed batter will be making his IPL debut and has scored 464 runs from 19 T20 games at an average of 29 and a strike rate of 152.13. On the other hand, Rajasthan had to field the same playing XI as their last fixture as Sandeep Sharma continues to remain unavailable due to fitness issues.

Sharma had a decent outing in the first game of the season against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) registering figures of 1/22 in three overs which included the big wicket of KL Rahul. However, in his second game, he proved to be costly leaking 36 runs in four overs.

Rajasthan Royals (Playing XI): Yashasvi Jaiswal, Jos Buttler, Sanju Samson(w/c), Riyan Parag, Dhruv Jurel, Shimron Hetmyer, Ravichandran Ashwin, Trent Boult, Avesh Khan, Nandre Burger, Yuzvendra Chahal
