Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women entered the auction with INR 3.5 crore remaining purse and they shed a hefty amount of INR 1.2 crore on young spinner Prema Rawat. The Women’s Premier League 2025 mini auction saw many young cricketers getting signed by the franchises and the Uttarakhand spinner, with a base price of INR 10 lakh, was one of them.
Rawat represented In the Uttarakhand Premier League with Mussorie Thunders as she claimed four wickets in three games. Apart from RCB, Delhi Capitals also showed interest in getting the rights of the 23-year-old. The tussle catapulted the bid over INR 1 crore before RCB bagged the services, shedding almost 35 percent of their purse amount.

The reason for going for Rawat is the fact that spinner Asha Sobhana is currently struggling with injuries. Hence, the franchise might look towards the youngster to be their spinner in the upcoming edition.
The defending champions have 16 players in their setup. Notably, they bought only two players at the auction as Jagravi Pawar, who was bought at her base price of INR 10 lakh, was their only other buy. RCB had four slots to fill but hthe franchise has left two slots vacant. Speaking of their composition, they have 10 Indians and eight overseas players.
