Jacob Bethell, the 21 year-old batting all-rounder, was snagged by the Royal Challengers Bengaluru for INR 2.60 crore at the 2025 IPL mega auction in Jeddah. Sunrisers Hyderabad initiated the bidding for Bethell, which was understandable given SRH’s head coach Daniel Vettori has previously worked with the Englishman at Birmingham Phoenix in The Hundred. In just his second game, he took Adam Zampa for 20 in an over and played an instrumental part in England’s three-wicket win in a high-scoring contest.
