As Yashasvi Jaiswal set the stage on fire with a 13-ball half-century in Match 56 of IPL 2023 between Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals, he propels himself to the second position in the list of fastest T20 fifties scored by Indians. Jaiswal started his carnage with a 26-run first over where KKR skipper Nitish Rana had put himself forward to start the proceedings for KKR with the new ball. Jaiswal lit up that over with three fours and two sixes, accompanied by a double.
Jaiswal eventually remained unbeaten to guide RR home with an unconquered innings of sheer brilliance. He scored 98 runs off 47 deliveries at a jaw-dropping strike rate of 208.51. His innings was studded with 12 fours and five sixes.
Yuvraj Singh leads the list with his 12-ball sensational half-century scored during the 2007 T20 World Cup against England. That iconic innings of his was largely shaped by the memorable over off Stuart Broad whom he hit for six straight sixes to exert utter dominance over the English side.
