The Indian Premier League 2025 mega auction will get underway in the last week of November. Before the mega auctions, the franchises released several players. Some decided to maintain their core by retaining key players by shedding money, on the other hand franchises such as Punjab Kings retained only two players and maintained a purse of 110.5 crore out of 120 crore.

The recent IPL 2024 mini-auction was held in the Coca Cola Arena in Dubai. As the mega auction will get underway in less then four weeks, the fans are pondering over the venue of the past auctions. It is worth noting that, at the start of the IPL in 2008, India’s metropolitan cities were the main attraction for the auctions. With the league reaching different heights the venues too kept changing over the years.

The IPL 2025 Mega Auction will take place on November 24 and 25 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. It is worth noting that mega auctions are held after every three years. Moreover, Saudi Arabia has had a connection with the IPL for some years now with a major conglomerate being one of the sponsors.
