Very few players get their hands on an ICC trophy, and the number is only narrowed down when it comes to winning the champions’ medal on multiple occasions at International Cricket Council-organized events. Part of the winning team from the T20 World Cup 2024, India’s star cricketer Virat Kohli and captain Rohit Sharma entered the list of active international men cricketers with most trophies as a player.

The list only includes players from Australia and India, as these are the teams who’ve had more ICC titles than any other team in the last decade and a half or so. While the names mentioned above are the only two Indians in the list, let us dig deep into the list of men who’ve been a part of the winning team at ICC events.

Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Steven Smith, Josh Hazlewood – 4 Trophies

The deadly Australian quartet features the regular members of the men’s senior team for a decade and a half. Hazlewood and Cummins were among the latest entrants among the four, but have been a part of the teams that won the ODI World Cups – 2015 and 2023, T20 World Cup – 2022, and World Test Championship – 2023. As a result, this has accounted for four trophies at major and the most prestigious global tournaments of the sport.

Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli – 3 Trophies

Rohit Sharma made his ICC debut with the inaugural World Twenty20 in 2007, where the Men in Blue emerged victorious on the South African soil. Led by MS Dhoni, the Indian team beat Pakistan in the grand finale to lift the first-ever tournament played in the format.

Rohit Sharma was an active part of the winning team in the 2007 T20 World Cup. Virat Kohli, however, was a part of the team 2011 ODI World Cup winning side. Both the star cricketers featured together in the Champions Trophy 2013, where the Indians beat England to lift glory. By now, both the players had a couple of trophies to their name, but the recent win at the T20 World Cup 2024 has made them the active cricketers with the joint-second-most number of trophies.
