Ashleigh Gardner, the Australian all-rounder, is optimistic about winning all the games in the Women’s Ashes 2023. While in the series, there is one Test, three ODIs and an equal number of T20Is, so far one Test and one T20I have been won by visiting side, as it is a multiformat Ashes and points are added for wins in different formats, so the winner will be decided as per the total points accumulated after the tour concludes.Meanwhile, despite Australia dominating the ongoing tour, Gardner hopes to improve with the goal of winning all the games played in the tour. Interestingly enough, the Australian side are yet to concede a defeat as they have remained unbeaten in the last 39 outings in limited-overs cricket.“I think there’s always things to improve on, coming from the longest format to the shortest format we knew that there was going to be some potential teething issues,” Gardner said to reporters in London.

“I think in the field there’s always room for improvement … we feel like we can definitely out-field teams and that wins games, the best fielding team generally comes up on top,” she continued.

However, despite dominating the series, the Australian all-rounder believes that both teams are well-balanced in terms of line-ups. Moreover, with plenty of games still left to be played ahead in the series, Ashleigh Gardner feels that making better decisions while batting when players are set on the crease or otherwise will influence the outcome of the Women’s Ashes.

“But I think with both bat and ball, it’s just being really clear on different plans and having more than one plan as well if (batters) get going.”And with the bat, just making probably better decisions, knowing what they are potentially going to dish up at us.”I think both teams are pretty evenly poised with our line-ups and I think we’ve played really good cricket, but there’s still plenty of good cricket left within our side to match what England’s going to throw out at us,” the 26-year-old concluded.

England Men and Women’s teams are on par in Ashes 2023

Although the home side has to win the remaining matches left, as the Aussie women have taken the six-point lead in the points table. In an interesting coincidence, both the England men and women are staring down the barrel as they have to win their next game in order to stay alive in the series.

Whereas in the series, the first Test match was won by the visitors by 89 runs at Nottingham, while the last T20I was a thriller as it was a last-over finish, and on the second last ball Australian side won the game by four wickets while chasing the target of 154 runs.
