The ongoing ODI World Cup 2023 is reaching its peak with India and Australia facing each other in the summit clash of the tournament on Sunday, November 19. One of the most looked-forward-to moments of the competition was the battle between Virat Kohli and Afghanistan pacer Naveen-ul-Haq.
Both players were involved in a heated feud in the 16th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023, and as fans looked forward to both of them facing each other in the World Cup, both Kohli and Naveen decided to put a lid on the feud and patched things up as they were spotted having a friendly chat and hugging it out.
Speaking of the same, Naveen came forward to reveal the chat he had with Kohli when India took on Afghanistan. “We got support in every game apart from that one game against India. Rather than that, we got a home kind of feeling; he told me, ‘Let’s finish it.’ I said, Yeah, let’s finish it. We laughed about it, hugged, and moved on. He also said that after this, you won’t hear my name. You will only hear support from the crowd,” Naveen-ul-Haq told Lucknow Super Giants.
