The third edition of the Women’s Premier League will kickstart with the first game between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Gujarat Giants at the  Kotambi Stadium in Vadodara on February 14. RCB women are the defending champions and are itching to start their campaign on a winning note in their pursuit of defending the coveted title.

It is worth noting that, when RCB women won the title in 2024, it was the first ever trophy the franchise ever won in their over 15 years of existence, both men and women combined. The win became even more special as the trophy was displayed amidst the jam-packed Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru ahead of IPL 2024. Ahead of the WPL 2025, former Royal Challengers Bengaluru captain, Virat Kohli conveyed his best wishes to RCB women.

“It’s amazing what you did last year, and I hope you continue to ride that momentum. With the load of winning the title already off your back, go out there, express yourself, and enjoy the support from fans across India’. Kohli said in video uploaded by RCB.

There’s no shortage of talent as we had seen last year as well. I’m sure that with the load off your back already of winning the title, you will go out there and express yourselves and enjoy the support you get from fans all over India. I wish you all the very best for the upcoming season,” he added.
