Although it took Kohli 121 balls to accumulate 101 runs, his innings was crucial for the host nation. The Indian team posted a formidable total of 326/6 on the scoreboard in their allotted 50 overs. The bowlers, led by Ravindra Jadeja, played a pivotal role in India’s victory. South Africa were bowled out for just 83 runs, with no batters even reaching a score of 20.
Jadeja’s five-wicket haul completely dismantled South Africa’s batting lineup, securing an impressive 243-run victory margin for the undefeated Indian team.
