Australia Women’s cricketers, Ellyse Perry and Sophie Molineux, were recently involved in an amusing exchange in which the two had to guess each others’ favourites and preferences in relation to cricket and other miscellaneous themes.

The format involved one participant to name her picks while guessing the other’s as well, all while the other stood behind with noise-cancellation headphones to not pick up what was being said. At the end of the round, they would end up discussing what they had guessed about the other.

The two disclosed their favourite food, animal, team, and childhood hero. Neither could guess each other’s favourite food (yoghurt and granola for Perry and cereal for Molineux). However, they were pretty accurate while disclosing each other’s favourite animal (platypus for Perry and none for Molineux).

Molineux got Perry’s favourite team wrong (Paramatta Eels), while the ace all-rounder did not make a mistake to guess Molineux’s (Collingwood Football Club). Ultimtely, they were asked to guess each other’s childhood heroes. Perry went first, stating that her childhood hero was former Australian competitive swimmer and multiple Olympic-medal winner, Susie O’Neill.

Perry went on to guess that former Aussie Rules footballer, Dale “Daisy” Thomas (who also played for Collingwood), would be Molineux’s favourite. However, Molineux went onto reveal that her childhood hero was none other than Perry herself. She guessed that Perry’s childhood hero was her father and personal coach, Mark Perry.

As far as Australia Women are concerned, they are coming on the back of inflicting a 3-0 T20I series whitewash on New Zealand Women in their three-match tour. Perry could register only 64 runs in three innings, but did so at an impressive strike rate of 160. Meanwhile, Molineux was sidelined out of the squad after sustaining a knee injury.
