Former legendary India batter Sachin Tendulkar was recently spotted playing baseball in New York alongside former India cricketer Ravi Shastri. Tendulkar had flown to the USA to attend the much-anticipated encounter between India and Pakistan at the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024 on Sunday, June 9 at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium.

Ahead of the game, Sachin Tendulkar was seen trying his hand at baseball. Tendulkar faced some throws from Ravi Shastri, and much to the fans’ surprise, Sachin quickly adapted to the sport as he exhibited some immaculate smashes surrounded by the crowd.

The clip was posted by the ICC on their official Instagram handle, “India legend @sachintendulkar channeling @mlb and @yankees vibes at the #T20WorldCup fan park in New York with another cricket icon,” the ICC captioned the post.

India vs Pakistan has always been a big match: Tendulkar

Furthermore, another video of Sachin Tendulkar was shared where he talked about the gravity of the game between India and Pakistan. He also talked about his first experience playing against Pakistan in 1992 in Australia.

“India vs Pakistan has always been a big match, exhilarating. My first World Cup experience against Pakistan was way back in 1992 in Australia and from there all of the number of matches that we’ve played against each other, they’ve all been exciting super exciting. I know both teams are well prepared to go out and give their best. When it comes to sharing, the best of luck that I have is a little more towards India,” Tendulkar said in a video shared by the ICC.

It is worth noting that both India and Pakistan have played a game each in the T20 World Cup 2024. India played against Ireland in their first game of the season and registered a win, whereas Pakistan took on the USA in their first game, where they lost the super over. Their clash against India would be a must-win encounter for the Men in Green if they wanted to qualify for the knockouts.
