Australian skipper, Pat Cummins, was interrupted by his son, Albie, during the post-match press conference, which was scheduled after the fifth Test at the Sydney Cricket Ground, which ended in a six-wicket triumph for the hosts. “Yeah, Beau was huge this Test. You know, I think he’s one of those quintessential all-rounders where you feel they’ll contribute in every facet of the game. That’s what he does for Tasmania. And he proved that this Test match. Thought he bowled beautifully, some great catches, and two really important knocks. So, always feel like he’s always involved with the game. He couldn’t have had a better debut. I think he was, you know, right beside Scotty (Scott Boland) as Player of the Match,” stated Cummins during the post-match press conference.

Debutant Webster came to Australia’s rescue against India

Meanwhile, Beau Webster who was playing his debut match for the hosts, rescued Australia’s sinking ship in his side’s first innings with a solid 57 in the first Test of his career. Before his mature knock, he snagged a couple of sharp chances at third slip.
