Australian skipper, Pat Cummins, was interrupted by his son, Albie, during the post-match press conference, which was scheduled after the fifth Test at the Sydney Cricket Ground, which ended in a six-wicket triumph for the hosts. In a moment which has been winning the hearts of internet users across various social media platforms, Albie was captured referring to Cummins as “dada”.
Interestingly, the young child reportedly walked through the gate, briefly interrupting the press conference. In the meanwhile, Cummins was spotted handling the situation in as cool a manner as he tackles situations while representing the nation.
In a heartwarming gesture which is winning over the cyber world, Cummins was seen acknowledging his presence to Albie. Cummins was effusive in his praise for debutant, Beau Webster, whose all-round contribution proved match-altering for Australia.
“Yeah, Beau was huge this Test. You know, I think he’s one of those quintessential all-rounders where you feel they’ll contribute in every facet of the game. That’s what he does for Tasmania. And he proved that this Test match. Thought he bowled beautifully, some great catches, and two really important knocks. So, always feel like he’s always involved with the game. He couldn’t have had a better debut. I think he was, you know, right beside Scotty (Scott Boland) as Player of the Match,” stated Cummins during the post-match press conference.

The manner in which he maintained a menacing channel while bowling, in particular, during India’s first innings, was heartening to witness too. Boland eventually ended up as the Player of the Match for his maiden 10-wicket haul in Test cricket.
