India and Australia are set to take clash in the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Both the sides will commence the battle in Perth from November 22 in the first Test of the series. With the five-game series approaching thick and fast, there are many match-ups that the fans will be anticipating.
One of those is the battle between India wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant and the Australian team. In the previous edition of the series in Australia in 2020-21, Pant proved to be a big thorn in Australia’s flesh and the hosts would surely be making plans to tackle him this time around.
Furthermore, Pant is well-known for his chirpings and talkative from behind the stumps. Cummins, who was a part of a show, was seen reacting to a clip of Pant sledging him during the 2020-21 series. In the clip, Pant can be seen telling Cummins to hit a six. Cummins could not control himself as he burst out in laighter.

I’m excited for the five-match Test series: Pat Cummins
Furthermore, Cummins also recently talked about the prospect of facing India in yet another edition of the BGT. He stated that his team has not had the best luck against India, but they pride themselves on their ability to play in their home conditions.
“We’ve had a bit of a break, so I’m excited for the five-match Test series. Excited to get into it. We haven’t had a lot of luck against India over the last few Test series, but we always pride ourselves on playing well here in Australia,” Cummins told Star Sports.
The Indian team have dominated the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in the recent past, having held the trophy for nearly a decade now. The side also won their last two series that they played in Australia.
