The second Test between Australia and India in Adelaide began on Friday, December 6. So far going by how things have panned in the pink-ball Test, the hosts have seemingly got a tight grip at stumps on Day 1. The day which saw plenty of see-saw battles on the field, there were some bizarre circumstances which have been witnessed as well. One of them was also the floodlights going off more than once, that had left all the players frustrated.
Interestingly, the mind-boggling incident happened on the last ball of the 24th over while Australia were batting. The speed gun malfunctioned and clocked Mohammed Siraj‘s ball at an astonishing 181.6 kmph (kilometre per hour). This meant that the Indian pacer had bowled the fastest delivery in the history of international cricket.
Hence this triggered a curiosity among the fans and cricket experts alike. Every cricket aficionado was eager to figure out, knowing it well that the speed gun had recorded the speed horribly wrong. Now the question arose, what was the actual speed of Siraj’s delivery?

Siraj clocks the fastest delivery in cricket history?
The 1st day of the Day-Night Test match has been disappointing for India with both bat and ball and the light issues did not help their cause at all. Adding to it, the speed gun caused some confusion. Fascinating enough as it gets, the fact that this was not even a legal delivery by Siraj as he just threw the ball in frustration when Marnus Labuschagne just backed out due to a fan covering the sight screen.

This folly by the speed gun has already amused the fans seeing that Siraj has bowled the fastest delivery in cricket history and it is not even legal. This shows how the day for India has been as well where they not only got bowled out for a modest total but also failed to get the big wickets which they had done in Perth. The Indian bowlers have got to do something special to come back in the match.
