Lockie Ferguson picked the wickets of two-star South African batters, David Miller and Faf du Plessis, in the opening game of Major League Cricket (MLC). Texas Super Kings (TSK) and Los Angeles Knight Riders played against each other in the first game of MLC. Chennai Super Kings’ sister franchise TSK won the clash after bowling out the opposition for 112 runs, having scored 181/6 batting first.
In the context of du Plessis’s dismissal, the Kiwi pacer pitched a full delivery just outside the off stump, the former South African skipper played the shot towards cover, and Unmukt Chand who was stationed at cover grabbed the aerial drive to dismiss the TSK skipper.

After Faf’s dismissal in the second over of the game, opener Devon Conway stood at the crease and was supported by David Miller. Conway scored 55 runs, and Miller played a match-winning knock as he aggregated 61 of 42 balls.
With the help of Miller and Conway’s contributions, Super Kings scored 181 runs after the end of 20 overs. Ferguson was the pick of the bowlers for Knight Riders, as he bowled at an economy of 5.75 and snared two wickets in his full quota of overs.
In response, Los Angeles didn’t look like winning the game in any situation, and the bowlers of Super Kings surely performed well in the clash. Under six overs, half of the Knights’ side was inside the dressing room, and lastly, they were bowled out for 112 runs in 14 overs.
The standout bowler for Super Kings was Mohammad Mohsin, who picked up four wickets in three overs, giving eight runs in his spell. Mohsin was equally supported by Rusty Theron and Gerald Coetzee; they took two wickets each in the innings.
MLC is a new addition to the T20 leagues around the world. It will feature six teams, Los Angeles Knight Riders, MI New York, San Francisco Unicorns, Seattle Orcas, Texas Super Kings, and Washington Freedom.
