India C managed to contain India D for just 164 runs on Day 1 of the second match of the Duleep Trophy at the Rural Development Trust Stadium in Anantapur on September 5. When India C came out to bat, the openers Ruturaj Gaikwad and Sai Sudharsan were served by some lethal bowling from pacer Harshit Rana.
The IPL committee had reprimanded Harshit for displaying provocative gestures after dismissing Sunrisers Hyderabad’s Mayank Agarwal in a game against Kolkata Knight Riders. He then went on to have an impressive IPL 2024 outing for KKR. He has continued the same momentum in the Duleep Trophy as he dismissed Gaikwad and Sudharsan in a span of five deliveries.

The southpaw nicked one delivery off Harshit to the wicketkeeper Srikar Bharat and walked back on the fourth delivery of the seventh over. Gaikwad was subjected to a similar kind of dismissal as the right-handed batter was caught by Bharat on the fourth delivery of the seventh over.
