The scenes in Adelaide turn darker as the lights completely turn off during the Pink Ball Test in Adelaide. The commentators have a fun conversation as they discuss the events that took place during that moment as well.

Some of the most bizarre instances the people got to witness during the day-night Test at the Adelaide Oval in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy(BGT 2024-25). The first day of the second Test at Adelaide was dominated by the Aussies so far. Team India were bowled out by the Australian pacers for a modest score of 180.

When Australia came out to bat, they ended the day on a positive note with batters Marnus Labuschagne and Nathan Mcsweeney remaining unbeaten at the crease with the score reading 86/1 at stumps. Currently, the hosts are trailing by 94 runs.

Though this was more or less a one-sided day with the hosts at the helm of affairs, there were some bizarre moments the fans and the players got to witness during the day/night Test. Notably, during the game, the floodlights started to act up as they went off and then got restored. The same incident took place yet again in a matter of a few minutes. As a result, this got all the players frustrated, especially the Indian pacer Harshit Rana.

While the drama unfolded, the commentators while on air, started to entertain each other by just joking about the turn of events and it all started with Harsha Bhogle exclaiming if someone had fallen asleep. The former Australia opener turned commentator, David Warner too chimed in and joked about the incident by saying that probably someone had forgotten to pay the electricity bills.

“Someone hasn’t paid their bills here,” said Warner cheekily while commentating.

Though everyone can see the funny side to these circumstances like the commentary team, it was not really a pleasant day for the players and the fans on the field who will be hoping that the match is not affected by the lights on the following day as well.

Meanwhile, Team India will aim to bounce back on Day 2 by hoping to chip in with some early wickets, while Australia will look to cut down on the deficit and gain a significant lead over the visitors as the game progresses ahead in Adelaide.
