With a resounding win over their arch-rivals Chennai Super Kings, the Royal Challengers Bengaluru booked their place in the playoffs in dramatic style, igniting the packed Chinnaswamy Stadium crowd, who provided unwavering support and energy to their team from the first ball to the last.

In the aftermath of the captivating match that saw RCB secure the fourth spot in a surprising twist, wicketkeeper-batter, Dinesh Karthik, gave a motivational speech in the dressing room. With the teammates and the support staff surrounding him, Karthik took the centre stage to share his side of the story. The franchise shared the legendary cricketer’s on social media, and saw fans ponder a lot of love in replies.

“Outstanding effort. But I think if you want the usual debrief with scores, I think you should look it up. It’s a very good app. You should go there. I vouch for it. It’s brilliant. I’m not going to talk about scores. Yeah. But on a serious note, I just feel let’s go back a little in time, three weeks ago. I made this decision—eight games, seven lost, I thought, okay? Today will be the last day, so I called 26 members of my family.

“Virat seems to give me a lot of grief for it. I thought today will be my last day, and I’ll say bye to everybody, and they’ll all be done. But, I think they’ve come a long way, and they realize that I might end up playing a few more games. But, what makes today really special according to me is a lot of things went against what you would ideally want for a start. For a start, Faf, the toss, that was shit mate,” remarked Karthik.

Looking back on their remarkable resurgence, marked by passion, vigor, and an unyielding mindset, the league veteran equated the team’s league phase as an extraordinary accomplishment. Despite initial struggles, winning all six matches against the odds demonstrated the team’s capacity to sustain their momentum. He expressed confidence in the franchise’s ability to inspire future teams and for them to take the current squad as a precedent of achieving the unachievable, serving as a beacon of resilience in the face of adversity, conquering every challenge with unmatched determination.
