In the same vein,  another noteworthy development unfolded as the Secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Jay Shah, convened with the Commissioner of the National Football League (NFL), Roger Goodell in New York.

For the uninitiated, the NFL is a professional American football league that inaugurated its inaugural season in 1920. Analogous to the IPL, the NFL boasts widespread reach and popularity, culminating in the Super Bowl, a highly-anticipated annual sporting event renowned for its inclusion of prominent musicians in half-time performances. Notably, the commissioner of the NFL assumed office on September 1, 2006.

The BCCI shared a 30-second video on their official X handle, featuring Shah and Goodell captured together. In the clip, Shah presented a helmet emblematic of American football, adorned with the crest of Team India and the Indian flag at its rear. Additionally, the video showcased the Indian jersey worn by Team India in the ongoing marquee event, featuring Goodell’s name and the jersey number “10”.
