The apex Indian cricket governing body Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Secretary, Jay Shah, along with the India Captain, Harmanpreet Kaur, unveiled the new jersey for the Indian women currently. Notably, the Women in Blue will be seen donning the new jersey from hereon in all of their white-ball games.
Currently, Indian women will next take on Australia in the ODI series. The three ODIs and as many T20Is will begin from the first ODI at the Allan Border Field in Brisbane on December 5. After the jersey reveal event at the BCCI headquarters in Mumbai, Harmanpreet seemed impressed with the new gear and was specially taken by the tricolour on the shoulders of the shirt.

“It’s an honour to unveil the jersey today. It’s a really proud feeling that we will be the first ones to wear the jersey against the West Indies. I am really happy. I like the look. The tri-colour on the shoulders is looking really beautiful. Happy that we have got a special ODI jersey,” Harmanpreet Kaur said in a video shared by the BCCI.

India Women were in sublime form against New Zealand at home
Meanwhile, India women are coming off an emphatic win against the New Zealand Women in the recently concluded three-match ODI series by 2-1. They were taken aback after an unfortunate loss in the recently concluded T20 World Cup 2024, where they were ousted from the group stages of the tournament. New Zealand, eventually went on to win their first ICC silverware.
