Skipper of the South Delhi Superstarz, Ayush Badoni, continued on his merry way as he struck three consecutive maximums off the bowling of left-arm orthodox, Manan Bhardwaj, in the final over of the batting powerplay. The Superstarz, who had already got off to a prompt start despite losing Sarthak Ray on the second delivery of the third over, were positioned at 47/1 at the end of five overs.
It was then that Badoni decided to launch one back over the bowler’s head by skipping down the track. Then followed it with a lofted on-drive past the long-on fence with the utmost of elegance surrounding that stroke. Thereafter, he pulled out a succession of sweep shots from his strokemaking arsenal.
What was more incredible was the fact that those deliveries were picked off from the fourth stump as Badoni hinged on one leg to dispatch the delivery to the same vacant deep square-leg region. As a result, the batter propelled his side to an even more formidable score after the powerplay. The remainder of the innings turned out to be one to remember for the spectators at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, as the duo of Badoni and Priyansh Arya raged their way to mindblowing centuries.

After Badoni, Arya took Bhardwaj to cleaners in DPL 2024 clash
Further adding to Bhardwaj’s woes, after suffering the wrath of Ayush Badoni’s bat, he was taken down mercilessly for six sixes in an over by Priyansh Arya. Consequently, the bowler proved way too expensive in the DPL 2024 clash. Bhardwaj ended up giving 60 in a matter of just two overs.
