The veteran Australia (AUS) opener David Warner gave fans a comedy of errors moment during his side’s ongoing T20 World Cup 2024 clash against Oman (OMA), in Bridgetown, Barbados, on Thursday, June 6. Notably, what turned out to be a brain-dead comical moment, after his dismissal, Warner walked back to the pavilion. However, he ended up heading towards Oman’s dressing room instead of the allotted room for Australia.

As a result, this left the commentators on air and the fans witnessing the game leaving quite amused. However, before Warner could storm into Oman’s side, he realised his hilarious mistake quickly and changed his path to the Australian dressing room. Meanwhile, speaking of southpaw’s batting, David Warner played a crucial half-century (56 off 51 balls) for his side in their World Cup opening campaign. Notably, skipper Mitchell Marsh was invited by Oman to bat first. The decision of the minnows proved worthy as Australia lost three wickets in quick succession with nine overs of the first innings.

Interestingly, courtesy of his valuable knock, David Warner got himself enlisted into an elite list of batters to become the highest run-getter for Australia in the T20I format. It is worth mentioning that Warner surpassed the former skipper Aaron Finch to claim this record during the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024 encounter.
