Some brutal scenes occurred off the pitch as broadcaster Mark Howard injured himself while keeping to Brett Lee while promoting and shooting for the event. The anchor also said that he was proud of getting a scar from the bowling of the great fast bowler who made him bleed through his forehead.
There have been plenty of dangerous fast bowlers in the past who have represented Australia and one of them was Brett Lee, who used to instill fear in the batters in his prime. Lee has taken 718 international wickets and is still the third-highest wicket-taker for Australia known for his raw pace and ability to swing the ball. Even after retirement, Lee has still made his presence felt as an expert and commentator in the game and is known for his incredible analysis of fast bowling.
Mark Howard faces the wrath of Lee
Lee might be retired for more than 12 years, but no one can ever take away the attitude and the skill of a pacer. This is where Australian broadcaster Mark Howard had to learn the hard way as he took the challenge of keeping to the bowling of Lee during a promotional event. Howard might have been able to catch one of Lee’s deliveries which ricocheted off the stumps but it still caused some damage as the bail flew straight into his forehead and he started bleeding. The shoot might have been delayed due to the freak accident but Howard still took it like a champ and continued the segment saying that he is proud of getting hit by the legendary fast bowler.
