Bowling all-rounder from Bengal, Akash Deep, currently spearheading the bowling attack of India A, can do no wrong in the ongoing Duleep Trophy fixture between India A and India B played at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. After an incredible first innings with the ball in which Akash picked up a four-wicket haul while conceding just 60 runs in the 27 overs he bowled, he continued his exploits with the ball in the third innings of the game.
The 39th over saw the right-arm pacer pick up his fourth of the innings when he cut Washington Sundar into half to dismiss the southpaw for just nine. On a length a tad bit fuller than the good length just around the off-stump channel, the ball nipped off the juicy deck which was offering a good deal of assistance for the pacers on Day 4 of the game to go through the bat-pad gap and beat Sundar all ends up, as the off-stump went for a walk with the bails going haywire.

With eight wickets down and Akash taking four, the pacer had his sight on a fifth five-wicket haul in his first-class career, which he managed to scalp on the fifth delivery of his very next over. Coming around the wicket to Navdeep Saini, a good short delivery around the chest height proved too hot for Saini to handle as all he could manage was a top-edge while attempting to pull the delivery. Wicketkeeper, Dhruv Jurel, held onto a simple grab as Akash received a big hug from the skipper of his team, Shubman Gill.
