India’s 13-year-old star Vaibhav Suryavanshi smashed 31 runs in the second over of the chase against Sri Lanka in the U-19 Asia Cup semi-final. A relentless display of destructive batting was seen from him as he smashed Dulnit Sigera all over the park to put the Lankan team under pressure. The over that made sure the Indian U19 side continued to dominate the game.
The U-19 Asia Cup is at the business end and it is the Mohamed Amaan-led India U-19 side who have emerged as one of the finalists in the tournament. The Men in Blue completely outplayed the Lankans by chasing down the target of 174 in 21.4 overs, winning the game by seven wickets.
Suryavanshi steals the show in Sharjah
The India U-19 bowlers bowled out the Sri Lankan U-19 side for 173 and soon it was the 13-year-old batting prodigy Vaibhav Suryavanshi who stole the show with his impressive knock of 67 from 36 deliveries. In the high scoring second over, Suryavanshi hit two massive sixes over square leg and mid-wicket respectively off the first two balls. Apart from the extras which included five wides and byes, the majority of the runs came from the bat and he finally ended the over by flicking Sigera for a six again.

Suryavanshi is already one of the most talked about players on the cricketing scene, especially after the auction where he was bought by the Rajasthan Royals for INR 1.1 crore.
