Six matches were played in the ongoing Vitality Blast 2024 on the 9th of June 2024. While some of them had thrilling ends with close results, most of them turned out to be one-sided contests. There were some players who delivered good performances for their sides individually. In the first match of the night, Lancashire beat Nottinghamshire by seven wickets.
Leicestershire defeated Worcestershire in a thrilling match by just four runs where batters and bowlers from both sides were in the game. Sussex overcame Gloucestershire by a fair margin of 48 runs to improve their net run rate. Somerset trashed Hampshire by 63 runs and sent a message to other teams in the tournament.
Yorkshire beat Derbyshire by nine wickets with 11 balls to spare in yet another one-sided encounter. Middlesex overcame Kent by just four wickets in a thriller. The match between Leicestershire and Worcestershire was the best of the lot, as no team had a clear advantage against their opponents till the last ball of the match.
