Vitality T20 Blast 2024 July 7 Match Review – Players’ Stats, Scorecards, Performances, and More

Seven matches were played in the Vitality Blast 2024 on Sunday, July 7, and while some were one-sided affairs, a few of them went down to the wire and enthralled the fans. During the day, several batters and bowlers shined as teams registered some crucial points.

Somerset and Gloucestershire were involved in a high-scoring encounter as the latter chased down a 195-run target with five wickets and one ball to spare. Meanwhile, Derbyshire registered a comfortable seven-wicket win against Yorkshire, as they chased down a 131-run target with seven wickets and five overs in the bank. The most lopsided match of the day saw Warwickshire dismissing Nottinghamshire for just 57 before chasing the paltry total in just 32 legitimate deliveries, with nine wickets to spare.

The most riveting encounter of the day saw Worcestershire posting 181/8 in their 20 overs against Lancashire, only to lose by two wickets with a ball left in the second innings. On the other hand, Glamorgan registered a 26-run win against Essex to improve their net run-rate (NRR). Northamptonshire chased down a 141-run target with five wickets and two balls left against Durham. In a rain-curtailed encounter between Surrey and Kent, the former won by five runs (DLS method) after defending a target of 87 in eight overs.
