Veteran India pacer Ishant Sharma opened up on his relationship with Virat Kohli and stated that he has seen various phases of the legendary cricketer. Remembering all such moments, Sharma opened up by saying that during their U19 days, Virat was partying all night in Kolkata on the very next day, he went on to score 250 runs. He added saying that courtesy of living in Delhi, the cricketer has seen Virat’s party and tattoo phase and now, he is seeing a different phase altogether.
Notably, since 2012, the former India skipper changed his diet and has got fitter. He pioneered a revolution in Indian cricket, asking all the players to work on their fitness, which eventually helped the team to become one of the best in the business. Ishant Sharma also acknowledged the same and stated this to be the best part of Virat.
“He has changed a lot. I have seen his party phase and his tattoo phase as well. We were playing a U-19 match in Kolkata. He was batting overnight, yet partied all night and the next day he scored 250. I have seen that phase of Kohli as well. The best thing about him, according to me, is how he changed his physical aspect starting in 2012, after the World Cup. He was training, but because of his diet, his mental strength and cricket, in general, went to a different level,” Ishant said on Ranveer Allahbadia’s YouTube channel.
From 2012 to now, I have only seen him eating chole bhature once or twice: Sharma
Virat Kohli’s love for Chole Bhature is not a mystery. The cricketer previously revealed it to be his favourite food but as per Sharma, Kohli may have eaten it once or twice since 2012. Lauding him for his incredible willpower, Sharma hilariously mentioned his cheat dish. The lanky pacer said that on his cheat day, he eats paneer naan.
“Delhi people like eating a lot, but he left everything. From 2012 to now, I have only seen him eating chole bhature once or twice. On my cheat day, I have paneer nan,” the fast bowler claimed.
