In the 17th match of the 2023 ODI World Cup, India faced Bangladesh at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune. Bangladesh won the toss and elected to bat first.
Virat Kohli, the superstar batter, played an exceptional innings of 103 off just 97 balls to lead India to victory. With Kohli’s brilliant century, India won the match by seven wickets with 51 balls remaining, securing their position at the top of the table.
Kohli finished off the match in style with a brilliant six off Nasum Ahmed. He came down the track, took the ball on the full and then brought the bottom hand into play on the lofted shot, had enough to clear the ropes on the full. After the shot, his hands went aloft as he turned back towards the dressing room, the crowd was overjoyed and the Indian number 3 got a warm embrace from his partner – KL Rahul
