India thrashed Ireland by eight wickets in their opening match of the T20 World Cup, while Pakistan suffered an embarrassing defeat at the hands of USA. The Babar Azam-led side put up a flop show with both and ball and are currently under immense pressure. To stay alive in the competition, Pakistan will have to beat India in the upcoming match at Nassau County International Cricket Stadium on June 9, or else they might just have to bid goodbye after the league stage.
Veteran batter Fawad Alam believes facing India won’t be easy for the Men in Green. He remarked that Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah are in good form and can take the game away from Pakistan. He mentioned that India have a very balanced squad and it would be difficult for the 2022 T20 World Cup finalists to get past them.

“Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah will make an impact for India in the game because of their experience and also the quality of both of them. They can easily take the game away from Pakistan. As a team, India is well-balanced, and it will be really hard to get past them,” Alam was quoted as saying by Hindustan Times.
I feel Mohammad Amir will redeem himself and give a match-winning performance: Alam
Star pacer Mohamad Amir leaked 18 runs in the Super Over against USA, which arguably cost Pakistan the game. He bowled too many extras, which put pressure on the visitors as they eventually lost by five runs. Speaking about Amir’s performance, Alam opined that the pacer will redeem himself and come good again in the coming future.

“I feel Mohammad Amir will redeem himself and give a match-winning performance against India alongside captain Babar who has had a pretty decent record against them. Based on that super over, you can’t blame Amir. He is not the same bowler as he was four years back. He has been playing cricket in different leagues and is still Pakistan’s best and most experienced bowler,” Alam said.
