Kevin Pietersen slams PCB after Gary Kirsten’s resignation
In a major development for Pakistan Cricket, Gary Kirsten resigned as the white-ball coach just six months after being made the in-charge of the side. Kirsten was appointed for the role in April, and Pakistan looked destined for success given Kirsten’s excellent resume, which includes India’s 2011 ODI World Cup title at home.
After Kirsten’s resignation from the post, of Pakistan’s red-ball coach Jason Gillespie is set to take charge of the limited-overs team. Talking about the whole situation, former England cricketer Kevin Pietersen has come down hard on PCB, terming Kirsten’s exit as taking “two steps back” after “one step forward”.
“How can Pakistan Cricket lose Gary Kirsten’s with his resume in coaching? One step forward the last few weeks and two steps back today! Stop doing it to yourselves. Too much talent to keep doing this kind of stuff!” Pietersen posted on X.

Pakistan set to take on Australia for upcoming assignment
Speaking of Pakistan, they are set to tour Australia for a white-ball series in November after their recently concluded Test series against England, which they won 2-1 at home.
The Men in Green will face NOW Australia across three ODIs and three T20I matches as both sides will lock horns in Melbourne, Adelaide, and Perth on November 4, 8, and 10 in the 50-over series. After the conclusion of the ODIs, the two teams will play as many T20Is, which are scheduled in Brisbane, Sydney, and Hobart on November 14, 16, and 18, respectively.
With Gillespie in charge of the side for the Australia tour, the PCB will hope for an improved performance from the team as they look to register a historic win.
