‘The pain of losing him is indescribable’ - Irfan Pathan pens emotional note for deceased hairstylist Faiyaz Ansari

Former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan recently took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to pay tribute to his recently deceased hairstylist, Faiyaz Ansari, who recently passed away by drowning in a swimming pool. The makeup artist from Bijnor tragically drowned on June 21 in a swimming pool in the Caribbean while accompanying Irfan Pathan for the ongoing T20 World Cup.

Taking to X, Pathan shared several pictures of himself alongside the deceased hairstylist and friend and wrote a heartfelt message in his memory. He also posted it on Instagram, where he shared a montage.

In the message, Pathan shared how Ansari had become like family to him, how his relationship with him was like that of brothers, and that he would miss him forever.

“In the past six years, Faiyaz became family to us. My children would run to greet him whenever he came over. He loved me like an elder brother, and I loved him like a younger one. The pain of losing him is indescribable; I’ve never experienced anything like it. His ever-smiling face and his constant ‘ji bhai’ will stay with me forever. I miss you dearly my brother my shadow,Faiyaz,” Pathan wrote and posted on X.

India take on England in T20 World Cup final

Speaking of India, the Rohit Sharma-led side has made it to the summit clash of the 2024 T20 World Cup. Defeating England in the penultimate contest, India has put in sensational showings throughout the competition and will aim to keep it up in the most important match of all as well.

India will take on South Africa in the final for title glory; both sides will face off at the Kensington Oval, Bridgetown, Barbados, on Saturday, June 29. South Africa reached the final after defeating Afghanistan in the first semis, and they will also have their eyes set on the title.
