The 18th match of The Hundred Women’s competition is witnessing the clash between Northern Superchargers and Manchester Originals at the Headingley Stadium in Leeds on Sunday, August 13.
Manchester Originals’ bowler Sophie Ecclestone took a stunning catch of her own bowling to dismiss Superchargers’ batter Phoebe Litchfield when they were 84/2. The batter advanced and met a drive powerfully but it went straight and Ecclestone comfortably completed the catch. The Manchester skipper got both hands up and turned with the momentum of the ball. It was a brilliant piece of fielding from Eccelstone who showcased great reaction speed to bag the catch.
The Hundred took to its official Instagram handle and shared the video of Ecclestone taking the catch and captioned it, “Caught and bowled by one of the best in the business.”
