Tamim Iqbal has been discharged from the KPJ Specialized Hospital and Nursing Home four days after suffering a Heart Attack while playing a match in the Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League. Tamim underwent an angioplasty surgery on Monday and stayed in the hospital for four days. The doctors could monitor him in the next few days.
Iqbal led the Mohammedan Sporting Club in their match against the Shinepukur Cricket Club at the BKSP Ground. The star player seemed unwell after the toss and was taken to the KPJ Specialized Hospital and Nursing Home. As he was taken back to the ground in a helicopter, the veteran collapsed, leading to huge tension.
The condition seemed serious as Mohammedan Sporting Club’s physio had to perform CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation). Tamim returned to his consciousness, and a cardiologist put one of the rings in his arteries. Tamim’s worried family entered the hospital and looked at his situation.
