Cricket fever continues as the T20 World Cup 2024 marches ahead with yet another interesting fixture between South Africa (RSA) versus Netherlands (NED). Notably, the Men in Orange had caused a massive upset for the Proteas in the last edition of the World Cup in the same format.
In the same vein, South Africa won the toss and invited the Dutch side to bat first. The decision was duly backed by the African bowlers and they gave a nightmarish start to the European side as they were stuttering at 35/4 at the half stage of the innings. The fiery pacers breathed fire as they took the top order apart. Notably, Marco Jansen and Anrich Nortje were the destructors but it was Jansen who also made a significant moment in the game.
Apart from taking a wicket in the first over then came back to take another in the third over of his superb bowling spell. However, it was icing on the cake when the lanky pacer did a ‘Jonty Rhodes‘ in the third over of the game by taking a screamer in the slips. Jansen dived a full stretch to his left to leave Max O’Dowd stunned to hand Ottniel Baartman and South Africa yet another wicket on the fourth ball of the third over.
